Big Bait Colors for Bass You Didn’t Know You Needed

I’m still new enough to the big bait game that I can’t or won’t take major risks when it comes to the colors of my glide baits, swimbaits and giant rats. I stick mostly with shads patterns, along with occasional bluegill or perch imitators, and some of the topwater models are straight black.

Nevertheless, as my collection grows, and I double up on certain favorite models, I’m starting to branch out on colors – and I continue to be amazed at what even the mainstream lure manufacturers bring to market.
