CASA VIEJA LODGE, GUATEMALA

The best sailfishing on earth combined with incredible service and luxurious, all-inclusive accommodations.

We’re headed back with a group of nine from November 16-20, 2024 and have ONE BOAT available. If you’d like to claim it, or need more information, email us ASAP.

Have You Caught a Sailfish?

Maybe you chartered a boat and dragged baits fruitlessly around the ocean for hours. Or you took turns with friends, drew the short straw and missed the only bite. Or perhaps you just assumed it was way too expensive. There are certainly no guarantees in fishing, but when it comes to sailfish Guatemala is as close as it gets, and it’s surprisingly affordable. On our first trip in February of 2020 we landed 37 sails in three days. When we returned 12 months later we landed 44 in three days….and those numbers aren’t even exceptional. The week before our return one boat landed 67 sailfish in a single day. At Casa Vieja Lodge they average double-digit raises year round. You don’t need any prior experience or any equipment of your own. Just show up and prepare to be spoiled. There are also marlin, mahi and tuna in the mix — and if you prefer inshore action you can target roosterfish, snapper and a variety of grouper.
