Bass anglers looking to build a tournament arsenal of quality rods can find themselves staring down the barrel of sticks costing three hundred, four hundred or even five hundred bucks apiece. For most of us, that’s simply not feasible if we need a dozen or more rods to feel complete.

Fortunately, Daiwa has a lineup of high-end rods, in a huge number of actions, that come in just below the $150 price point (pro tip: wait for a Tackle Warehouse sale to get them even cheaper - it’ll enable you to buy more). Their cork-handled Tatulas are what the pros use, and you can, too. We caught up with Jordan Horita from Daiwa’s R&D Department at the 2025 Bassmaster Classic to get the scoop on them:
