Swim Jig Trailers Simplified With Pat Schlapper

At the end of April I fished with Pat Schlapper at Lake Hartwell. Less than three weeks later he’s an Elite Series champion. I’m not saying there’s a connection, but if you’re an Elite pro who’s yet to win a trophy I’m accepting invitations to fish.

While we were in South Carolina, I picked Schlapper’s brain about a number of topics. Since he’s from Wisconsin, I figured swim jigs were right up his alley. Surprisingly, he keeps it extremely simple, including with his trailer choices. Here’s how he decides:
