Greg Evers “Flew Solo” at Casa Vieja Lodge

Greg Evers of Minnesota at Casa Vieja Lodge Guatemala

Not everyone can find a buddy, or two or three, to go on a bucket list trip with them. Maybe they can’t get the time off, or can’t afford it, but that shouldn’t end your fishing dreams.

Each time we’ve fished at Casa Vieja Lodge we have gone in a group of four or eight, but we’ve wanted to give smaller groups a chance to enjoy this trip of a lifetime. Fortunately, we can help you achieve that through the lodge’s “Solo Anglers Week.” We know several people who’ve gone, and they’ve all had a blast and made lots of new friends.

I’m happy to let you know how it works – email me any time – but you’ll get a lot of key info by listening to our new friend Greg Evers. He heard about HPFC on Bass Talk Live and that inspired him to go to Casa Vieja Lodge on this past November’s Solo Anglers week.

Greg Evers lives in Sartell, Minnesota, where he works as a local truck driver delivering animal products to farms and co-ops. He grew up fishing and hunting in MN and got hooked on bass fishing and into local tournaments in his twenties. He has traveled out west to hunt and up to Canada to fish and recently turned his attention towards the ocean and bigger fish. Here’s his story, in his own words:

Whether you want to go on one of the two single anglers trips (June 2024 sold out – there are still openings November 20-24, 2024), put a group together and go on your own, or join our groups, I can make that happen. Let’s get you down to Sailfish Disneyland!
