World Record Holder Lea Anne Powell

I walked right past her. She didn’t have her sunglasses on but I knew I knew her – she was the woman I’d seen on the cover of Bassmaster, honored for catching the IGFA women’s 12-pound line class largemouth bass world record. Lea Anne Powell’s 12 pounds, 3 ounce bass was practically as big as Lea Anne herself.

I made Pete turn around and ask if we could interview her for our site. She was more than willing to tell her story and we quickly learned that Lea Anne Powell is far more than just an anger who caught a big fish.
