Not So Fast – Saskatchewan to Mazatlán

Last week I reported about the 2023 options for flights from various points in North America to Mazatlán, including the numerous options from Canada. Unfortunately, I may have spoken too soon with respect to certain destinations. Unfortunately, since that publication I’ve learned that Sunwing’s flights between Mazatlán and the two largest airports in Saskatchewan – Regina and Saskatoon – have been indefinitely canceled. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news to those of you looking to escape Molson country for a few Pacificos. On the upside, if you had that route booked you will get a full refund.

As fare as we know, all of the other Canada-to- Mazatlán routes we listed, including those on Sunwing from Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Monreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg, remain operational. Nevertheless, if you’re booked with them it never hurts to check.
