Seeing Stars in Sinaloa

View the April 8, 2024, eclipse in Mazatlan Mexico

We’ve seen stars – primarily fishing industry luminaries – on our many visits to Anglers Inn Lake El Salto and Lake Picachos – but that’s not the reason we go. Our visits are memorable for the exceptional fishing, flawless service and the friendships we’ve made. However, if you need an additional reason to head south of the border, consider booking a trip that spans April 8, 2024.

That’s when there will be a total solar eclipse, and the area in and around Mazatlán will be a perfect place to view it as it sits just above the centerline – those present will get a remarkable 4-plus minutes of total coverage. It should begin just around 11am as you head in for lunch prior to the siesta and experts believe that the weather prospects for viewing are better in Mexico than in the US and Canada (fishing should be better, too).

You’ll need to bring your own eye protection for the partial phases, but we can help you with the booking process. Email Hanna today to get the ball rolling.
