The Goose is Loose

We’re still not over the loss of our precious Aussie Rooster, but it gets a bit easier every day, and we’re still able to celebrate others’ happiness – particularly when it involves a puppy.

Paul Fisler, one of stalwarts of the Half Past First Cast fishing team and a member of the Bassmaster Lunker Club, celebrated his recent retirement with a springer spaniel puppy.

I’m not sure if it was intentional, but like us he gave his new best friend an avian name – Goose. We hope that the new family member gives him as much joy as we got from ours. We also hope that if Goose joins Paul in the boat he doesn’t hit all of the Power Pole buttons and trim switches as Rooster did, probably just to mess with us.
