Bone Swim Jigs – When Bass Want Something Other than Plain White
Bone has long been a go-to color in hard lure categories including walking topwaters, wake baits and big glide baits. The soft, off-white finish can represent everything from threadfin shad to blueback herring, but until recently this proven color was surprisingly hard to find on swim jigs.
That's changing. More manufacturers are finally offering bone-colored swim jigs, giving anglers a subtle alternative to bright white. Bone provides nearly the same visibility while looking just a little more natural, especially in clear water, around spawning shad and during low-light conditions.

Bone Head
A matching trailer keeps the entire profile consistent, something you can’t do with the more common pure white. Unfortunately, no manufacturer has gone all-in with colors called "Femur" or "Humerus," but there are still several excellent bone-colored trailers that pair perfectly with these jigs.
Zoom occasionally produces limited runs in colors like Ham Bone (#422) and Flesh (#176). They're not always available at Tackle Warehouse, but they're worth grabbing whenever you find them because they're excellent matches for bone swim jigs.
