Megabass Travel Rods: New Fall 2025 Additions at Tackle Warehouse

Anyone who understands and appreciate quality fishing tackle knows the Megabass brand. Lures like the Vision 110 jerkbait and the Magdraft swimbait are category-defining staples in serous bass anglers’ tackle boxes, but they also make exquisite and purpose-driven rods. I have quite a few in my boat at all times, but in recent years I’ve taken a particular shine to their multi-piece sticks on our frequent travels.

My favorite of the bunch has been the Valkyrie World Expedition Travel Casting Rod, which has helped me subdue some Panamanian tuna, but they continue to expand the lineup. I’m not sure if that’s because company founder Yuki Ito is a traveler, or because Japanese anglers don’t have large vehicles, or they just need to fill a market gap – frankly, I don’t care…as long as they keep making them.

Now, just in time for fall 2025, Tackle Warehouse has added more Megabass travel rods to their lineup.

At under $200, these rods are among the best values in premium travel tackle. They’re designed to withstand baggage handlers, rough roads, and big fish alike.

We’ll be going on several trips in 2026 where we won’t be able to take a full-sized rod tube. I’m certain that at least a couple of Megabass travel rods – perhaps including the ones listed above – will be with us on every trip. If you’d like to join us, whether it’s in Panama, Argentina or the Amazon jungle, shoot us a message. We’ll be happy to make the proper tackle recommendations.
