Oxblood Soft Plastics – Not Just for the West

According to Vogue, Oxblood is one of the hot colors for interior designers in 2025. It’s always been a popular shade in bass fishing, particularly out west. I believe I first heard about it through Western Bass or Bass West magazine back in the day, and as someone who struggles with various forms of reds, I really didn’t know what it was. Now I’m aware that it generally “resembles burgundy but has less purple and more dark brown” and dates back to the 17th century, when the blood of an ox was used to make dyes.
