A San Diego Retreat – Recharge and Relax in the Center of it All
We spend a lot of time talking about fishing -- including tackle, techniques and the destinations we travel to in order to pursue our catch. Sometimes the lodging is every bit as important as the fishery – after all, every vacation needs a place for you to recharge, relax and lay your head after a long day of adventure.
But it matters just as much, if not more, on the occasional non-fishing trip. We recently traveled to San Diego with my dad and his girlfriend and ended up foregoing the hotel route, using Airbnb instead. We found the perfect place.
Whether you are planning a fishing trip, a family vacation, girls/boys trip, couples getaway or just exploring what Southern California has to offer, you should stay with host Lucinda, her place checked every box. This property seemed to be close to everything — Little Italy, the Gaslamp District, the Zoo, Balboa Park. It’s just a few minutes from the airport — more on that in the video.
Perhaps you think this is silly to write about an Airbnb that all we did was eat breakfast, sleep and shower but there was something about coming back each evening that always made us smile.
This one felt different, like someone cared about creating a space for their guests and showed attention to detail.
