Alaska Airlines direct flights between Mazatlan and Los Angeles

This weekend Alaska Air announced one of their “Buy One Get One” (“BOGO”) deals, where if you buy one coach class ticket to anywhere they fly (excluding Prudhoe Bay, Alaska), you get a second coach ticket on that same flight for just the cost of taxes and fees.

Guess what?

Alaska flies directly between Los Angeles and Mazatlán. If you use LAX as your starting point or your layover airport, there are some killer deals to be had for your trips this fall to Lake El Salto, Lake Picachos or a double-dip to both.

The Combo Deal

Alaska’s BOGO promotion overlaps substantially with the Anglers Inn promotion that provides $200 off a trip taken between October 1, 2021, and November 15, 2021, to Anglers Inn’s Mexican properties. This deal is available to all B.A.S.S. members. So if you and a friend, child or spouse come to Mexico, save $200 each, plus cost of one full airfare, you’ll likely looking at a savings of at least a thousand bucks.

The Fine Print

This Alaska Air BOGO deal is valid for travel from October 5, 2021, through December 15, 2021
You can only travel TO Mexico Sunday through Wednesday
You can only travel FROM Mexico Tuesday through Friday
You’ll have to pay the taxes and fees on the “free” ticket
The discount code is “BOGOTIME”
The deal does not apply directly to First Class tickets, solo travel, or travel on “off days,” but those fares will still be discounted 10%
The dates around Thanksgiving, specifically November 18-29, are blacked out.

Act Fast

Flights must be booked by 11:59pm Pacific Time on Monday, September 20, 2021. That’s tomorrow.

Of course, you’ll also need to make sure that the dates are available at Anglers Inn. The promotion for B.A.S.S. members has proven to be incredibly popular and some prime dates are already full, so you’ll need to act fast on all fronts if you want to make these possible savings work for you.
