It may be time for us to revisit a Mazatlan beach vacation. They’ve made major upgrades to the infrastructure and amenities in the resort town, and our friends who’ve stopped over for a while have raved about the experience.

On April 8, 2024. Mazatlán will be a perfect place to view a total solar eclipse – those present will get a remarkable 4-plus minutes of total coverage. It should begin just around 11am and experts believe that the weather prospects for viewing are better in Mexico than in the US and Canada.

While we fly into and out of Mazatlán several times a year, we prefer to spend our time in Mexico at Lake El Salto or Lake Picachos rather than lounging on the beach.
