Crack Open a Crisp Streamside Beer With a Rainbow Trout Bottle Opener
When we return to Bear Trail Lodge in Bristol Bay, Alaska, later this year, we will catch silver salmon. We will catch grayling. We will catch Dolley Varden. I look forward to tussling with all of them, but the fish I look forward to the most is the rainbow trout. They grow huge up there and they’re gorgeous and they pull like a sonafabitch.
And when I catch some, I will toast them with an Alaskan beer, possibly opened with a bottle opener fashioned in their image, to tie it all together. Here are some of my favorites:
If you’d like to take a trip to Alaska to enjoy a big rainbow and a celebratory beer of your own, let us know. It’s the greatest exotic fishg experience that Americans can take without a passport – and once you’ve been you’ll want to go back again and again and again.
