Your Feet Smell Like Shad

Four-time Bassmaster Classic winner Rick Clunn famously told bass anglers: “If you want to learn the owl, study the mouse that controls him.”

Despite that dose of wisdom, when it comes to celebrating fish species on our clothing, it’s usually the owl that gets all the love. There are plenty of shirts, hats and even socks featuring leaping bass, majestic billfish and colorful mahi. I have quite a few myself and have written about many others.

That’s why I was surprised and excited to see that the aptly named LiveBait.com has socks featuring one of the most prevalent bass meals – threadfin shad. You can also get them with Goggle Eyes, Mullet or a discounted three-pack featuring all three. They also have useful things like cast nets and bait-gathering accessories, but it was the wearables that caught my eye.
