For me to go out to the garage on a random Thursday night, in the winter, to look for tackle must mean I really want to go fishing. It has been, I can’t remember, long since I was last on the Potomac River. As I was rummaging through the tackle in the garage I came across one of my favorites, the Gambler Cane Toad. I used to use this lure while Pete threw a Deps Basirisky, as he kept those for himself.  The fish liked it and my hookup rate was good.

Although it was cold, I was distracted by all the other toads I found. I wondered where they all came from as I can’t remember the last time we fished with them. Still, I was intrigued. Check out our back and forth on the video below:
