Sapphire Blue Craws – A Focal Point for Dirty Water Fish
We’ve already highlighted the importance of keeping some sapphire blue chunks on hand for jig trailers, but sometimes a sapphire blue craw trailer either matches the hatch better or slips into thick cover with greater ease. Or perhaps you just find craw options to be more versatile.
Again, in situations of diminished underwater visibility, few trailer colors get noticed better than sapphire blue – and the additional action of a flapping claws adds the element of vibration, too.
We recommend keeping both craws and chunks on hand -- here are some of the best of the former available at Tackle Warehouse.
Zoom Z Craw
During my years of covering Bassmaster Elite Series tournaments, I’ve watched countless pros flipping with bright blue trailers – and plenty more hiding them away when the paparazzi are around.
While we’ve talked about this in the context of flipping and pitching jigs, these bright blue craws also excel on a variety of swim jigs and chatterbaits, too. Keep ‘em on hand when you need to catch the attention of bass feeding on bluegills or craws, or when hiding in and around the thickest possible cover.

While sapphire blue chunk jig trailers are a dirty water staple, sometimes the profile of a craw provides greater vibration and slips through cover more easily. Here are some top Tackle Warehouse options.
