Living the Lake Charles Lifestyle

Welcome to Lake Charles Louisiana Postcard over reeds and cattails

There’s a chance we never would have visited Lake Charles, Louisiana if we hadn’t decided to visit Grosse Savanne. Perhaps we would have driven through on I-10, but I doubt we would’ve stopped there. Now that we’ve visited multiple times – including once when we stayed at the L’Auberge Casino – we’ve taken a liking to the place. It’s not New Orleans or Houston, but that’s kind of the point.

If you’re an angler, hunter or eco-tourist, I highly recommend that you take a trip to South Louisiana, specifically to Grosse Savanne, but don’t limit your trip to just that. Consider adding on a few days on either end to make it a longer and better trip. Below are some links explaining what the city has to offer.
