I’ve caught lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout and cutbow trout. I’ve caught Dolly Varden and grayling, too, but despite the fact that there are brook trout almost in my backyard, I’ve never caught any. Most of the brookies that live in places like Shenandoah National Park tend to be quite small, but whether to get a replica is a deeply personal decision. They’re one of the most beautiful fish around when they’re all lit up, so maybe someday one will end up on my wall. Check out some of the best ones we’ve seen.
