Striped Marlin Art
As we count down the days to our long-awaited Baja trip, we’re already counting striped marlin instead of sheep. That may be putting the cart before the horse, but I think there’s a pretty good chance all four of us will catch one, if not more. The sad truth (once again putting the cart far in front of the horse) is that as much as I’d like a replica mount of one of those screaming billfish, our little house just won’t support it. Also, there’s a pretty good chance we’ll be moving in the next few years, which would be further complicated by an oversized mount.
Accordingly, I’ve let my mind drift to the idea of a striped marlin painting. It doesn’t necessarily fix our problem of not having much wall space to spare, but it still allows me to daydream in advance of the real deal. Here are some of my favorites I’ve found:
