Copa to the Carolinas

Copa Airlines direct flights Raleigh-Durham to Panama City

Copa Airlines continues to make it easier for North American anglers to take the fishing trip of a lifetime in Panama. Over the past year they’ve added direct flights between Panama City’s Tocumen Airport and US cities including Austin and Baltimore, supplementing their already ample list of US destinations, which previously totaled over a dozen.

Now they’re at it again, adding direct flights between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Panama City. It doesn’t matter whether you cheer for the Blue Devils, the Tarheels or the Wolfpack, you can buy a seat on the flights that’ll run four times a week – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The route will begin this June, which means you Carolinians can join us on our January 2025 hosted trip to Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge without having to go through Atlanta or Miami.

Indeed, as we’ve discussed before, Copa continues to incentivize anglers in the US and Canada to enjoy Panama’s fishing without too much hassle.
