Throwback Shirts for the Hungry and Thirsty Angler
I’m a big fan of fishing t-shirts – I have over 50 of them – particularly if they somehow incorporate a pop culture reference. I’m also a big fan of food, so any time I can combine all of those interests into one comprehensive package it makes me pretty happy. Here are a few of the best ones I’ve seen.
Lateral Vision has a bunch of great shirts – including some incorporating Donkey Kong and the Simpsons, but my favorite is this reference to a cereal I recall as Sugar Smacks, now known as Honey Smacks (since the 1980s). Fun fact: Honey Smacks are genetically engineered and 1/3 pure sugar by weight.
Swimbait Underground goes Dunkin with this “Double Digits” tee.
The website of the Commonwealth of Bassachusetts no longer seems to be up-and-running, which is a shame because their ode to frozen vegetables was brilliant.
Stripn Flywear offers up this Coca-Cola-inspired eff-you to dry fly only anglers everywhere.
Flood Tide Apparel previously developed something similar for Cobia.
If you know of any others, please give me some leads.

If you like big ‘buts and you cannot lie, we have the perfect apparel for you, fresh from Buttwhackers on the Spit in Homer, Alaska. Great stuff from true fishing town.
